MORA 2024
Thank you for always staying connected with Mora over the last 15 years. Many of you have continued this journey since the beginning and have seen us grow. And as I always say, in so many years, everything kept changing except Mora, Mumma and me. Mumma has trained many tailors, seamstresses and embroiderers over the years and has transformed non-artisans into artisans. The spotlight remained on me while Mumma held the solid ground upon which I stood, spun and spiralled.

In this collection, I have made an offering to parent’s love. The said & done and the unsaid & seemingly undone of the parents. Mora, this year, will highlight how, without a close bond with my mother and her highly technical mind, Mora would have just remained an idea. A beautiful dream transformed over these 15 years into many one-of-a-kind collector’s treasures. This was possible because everyone who set their hands on the textile could bring their unique energy to it without time-bound complexities. We have freed up our hearts from something solid, something rigid that takes away the love for craft.

This time, the spotlight is on the stitching skills and you will see and hear much of that what has been a quiet, delicate aspect of mora. Something that everyone loved and spread only through word of mouth and eyes.
