The Story
Two-sided Eri silk dupatta holding Xin Khap motif on paat silk

Ahomi brings together Eri Silk that is naturally dyed, handspun, and woven on a throw shuttle loom in rural Assam with subtle check pattern weave in Kanchipuram silk. To accentuate this combination of textiles, the delicately woven Xin Khap motif, a legacy of Assam’s weaving tradition is woven on Paat silk. The dual-sided dupatta brings out a festive contrast of colours.

Ahomi is a one-of-a-kind textile designed to highlight a unique coming together of various techniques and creativity of handcraft. This design will not be recreated.
