Merak

Combination of cotton fabrics
in a creative collage of colours
Spoken for
“The beauty and mystery of this world only emerges through
affection, attention, interest and compassion.
Open your eyes wide and actually see this world
by attending to its colours, details and irony.”

Merak is a Serbian word that describes pursuit of small pleasures everyday, which all adds up to a feeling of contentment, fulfilment and abundance.

I call this dupatta Merak because by attending to it colours, details and irony of ikat and stripes together, you will feel a subtle presence of design. The joy of subtle and small, and of everyday nature will bring home an air of abundance. That abundance is my everyday wish for everyone.

The abundance that is born out of affection, attention, interest and compassion.
